HOMAGE
TO MIROSLAV KRS
Dr. Miroslav
Krs - born on 17 October 1928 in Bucany, district Hlohovec (83) - is an eminent
(palaeo)magnetist and magneto-mineralogist, recognized with F. Posepny Medal in
2000, and founder of the Pruhonice Paleomagnetic Laboratory. Although
being from WW-II generation, his counts in WoS are 50, with 384 citations (298
citing papers), where the most cited papers relate to greigite or
greigite-smythite / pyrrhotite and also paleomagmetism in service to orogenic
and tectonic studies . He is suffering from severe chronic disease now, and the
Conference pays homage to him .
